Auf designshack.co.uk gibt es eine Übersicht, über hübsche Techniken mit CSS und JS um aus langweiligen Tabellen etwas ansehnliches zu machen. Meiner Meinung nach lohnt es sich die eigenen Tabellen damit mal etwas aufzufrischen. Das freut vor allem die Nutzer einer Webseite und kann zum Beispiel die Verkäufe in einem Shop enorm steigern, denn wer schaut sich heutzutage schon gerne langweilige graue Daten in einer ebenso langweiligen Tabelle an?
In a sense, they’re meant to be that way. A good table communicates a lot of information in a concise, easy to understand way. Because the emphasis really should be on the information, over-designing a table can kill the effectiveness.
